Buddy display (🔮)
Full-screen display: glanceable clock, weather, photos, agenda & the daily thought rotate when idle, and a voice-reactive orb (JARVIS-style) takes over the moment Buddy is listening or speaking. No chat transcript. The kitchen Portal uses this by default.
My Locations
Used for weather, directions, and family distances. Saved as a private map pin — only shared if you turn on location sharing.
Timezone
Used for reminders, calendar events, and time-relative phrases like "this morning". Auto-detected from your browser.

Hands-free — “Hey Buddy”
Tap 👂 in the chat bar to listen for “Hey Buddy” while the app is open. For true hands-free even when your phone is locked, let Siri or Google open Buddy already listening:
🍎 iPhone / iPad (Siri)
Open the Shortcuts app → + → Add Action.
Search Open URLs, add it, and paste the link above.
Tap the name at the top, rename it Buddy (that becomes your Siri phrase).
Say “Hey Siri, Buddy” — Buddy opens and starts listening.
🤖 Android / Samsung (Google)
Open the Google app → Assistant settings → Routines → +.
Add a starter “When I say…” and type Buddy.
Add an action “Open app or link” and paste the link above.
Say “Hey Google, Buddy” — Buddy opens and starts listening.
On Samsung you can also use Modes & Routines → If voice command → Then open the link.
Location
Set your home location and choose whether to share your current location with the family.
